Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef and ground pork to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook until browned.
- Pour in the marinara sauce and let simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- In a large pot, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of meat sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layering process (noodles, ricotta, meat sauce, mozzarella) once more.
- Top with the remaining noodles, the rest of the meat sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and all the Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
